Founded in 2006 by Avery Willis Hoffman, Avery Productions is dedicated to uplifting artistic projects across a wide range of creative disciplines, including theater, opera, dance, music, and visual art.
Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform for artists committed to creating socially impactful and innovative work.

Throughout my career, I have worked across many artistic disciplines - opera, dance, theater, visual arts, exhibitions, music, tv and film/video - in a variety of roles including Writer, Director, Producer, Dramaturg, Content Developer, Researcher, Public Programming and Performance Curator, As a Creative Producer, I have supported the incubation of numerous artistic projects, and produced multiple large scale convenings of artists and scholars.
As a Marshall Scholar, I earned a DPhil (PhD) and MSt (Masters) in Classical Languages and Literature from University of Oxford, and a BA (Bachelors) in Classics and English Literature (double honors) from Stanford University. I am also a proud graduate of The Westonbirt School (UK) and The Lawrenceville School (NJ).
I have dedicated myself to pursuing projects in the Arts since my first professional gig at aged 12, playing Martha Cratchitt in The Christmas Carol (McCarter Theater, NJ). After multiple summers at The Hedgerow Theatre Company (PA), where I learned every aspect of theater on and off the stage, I set off for Stanford University, where I f

While at Oxford, I helmed The Oxford Classical Drama Society, produced and directed numerous projects includingThe Oxford Greek Festival and The Trojan Women at the Oxford Playhouse.
Returning to the NY area after graduate school, I continued my career in the Arts, working in various roles as a Producer, Dramaturg, Assistant Director, Company Manager, and Festival Organizer with theater and opera director, Peter Sellars; as international Tour Producer for Hijabi Monologues; as Program, Communications, and Special P
